Position Information:Reporting to the Executive Director and Senior Curator of Exhibitions as part of the UCR Arts Senior Leadership team, the Financial and Administrative Officer (FAO) is responsible for the overall business operations and facilities management of UCR ARTS, including financial management, grant management, facilities management and maintenance, building operations, capital project management, security management, technology oversight, human resource management, and oversight of visitor services, facility rentals and retail operations, and marketing departments. The FAO is charged with overseeing the institutional infrastructure across all administrative areas and ensuring that the goals of the museums Strategic Plan and Senior Leadership are met. The FAO works closely with all museum departments to ensure that museum operations conform to relevant museum, nonprofit, and university protocols and requirements. The Financial Administrative Officer represents the museum in communications with multiple UCR departments including Accounting, Human Resources, Campus Facilities Management, Insurance and Risk Management, the Dean's Office, Campus Counsel, Project Management, Cashiers Office, the Office of Research & Economic Development, etc. Additionally, this position manages relationships and communicates with businesses, professional organizations, and other cultural institutions both locally and nationally. UCR ARTS is comprised of the California Museum of Photography -- the photography museum of the University of California -- and the Culver Center of the Arts located off-campus in downtown Riverside. With more than 500,000 objects, the California Museum of Photography holds one of the major photography collections in the United States. Founded in 1973, the museum stages leading-edge exhibitions, programs and events focused on the intersection of photography, art, new imaging, and society.
The full salary range for the Financial and Administrative Officer is $78,700 - $145,100 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $78,700 - $111,900 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Preferred Qualifications
Solid knowledge of the organization's processes, protocols and procedures with a focus on budget, account and fund management and/or personnel management within labor contract(s) and personnel policy. Working knowledge of Museum IT management practices Working knowledge of Museum security management practices Museum, film, hospitality, or cultural attraction experience is a plus
