The University of Rochester Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) supports researchers to help them produce results better and faster, to ultimately improve the health of communities and populations. CTSI develops and disseminates approaches to advance translational research, through workforce education and training, fostering multidisciplinary teams, improving quality and efficiency, and engaging community and national stakeholders in research.
Here is an opportunity to join the growing CTSI Information Technology team to support initiatives to transform and accelerate clinical research.
The Application Administrator builds and maintains on-premise application installations. This may include ensuring security standards are applied, troubleshooting, implementing new applications and participating on projects to upgrade components or whole systems.
The Application Administrator provides technical support to include troubleshooting and remediation of technical issues, which may require working with third party software vendors. They work with various technical and functional personnel to fulfill requests for technical support, including application, system to system integrations and security administration.
1 year of relevant experience in application support
Must be able to participate in on-call rotation
The ideal candidate will also possess:
Understanding of application infrastructure and architecture
Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL or related database experience
Understanding of Web Server, App Server and database interaction
Experience supporting cloud and on-premise applications
