Position Purpose This position is responsible for the management of campus facilities working with both internal and external facility departments. This oversight will include custodial, grounds, and maintenance in Henniker and Manchester. The Director also has responsibilities for regulatory compliance, fleet management, fire safety, and sustainability.
Essential Duties Summary
Responsible for providing excellent facility management for the College, including but not limited to: inhouse and outsourced custodial, maintenance, and grounds in both Henniker and Manchester;,
Ensure that all building systems, including but not limited to: telephone, security and access, security cameras, underground storage tanks, electronic signs, and building automation, are in working order, that all compliance requirements are met, and that they are all maintained as required.
Review of all quotes provided by the facility team for reasonability and accuracy.
Manages the operational budget for facilities and be sure that all expenses stay within budget.
Review of pricing for major facilities projects and services, including but not limited to: energy sources, trash pick-up, etc..
Manage all regulatory compliance including but not limited to drainage, fire codes, and occupancy permitting.
Responsbile for management of the fleet of vehicles, including monitoring necessary maintenance, annual registrations and inspections, and purchasing of any new vehicle.
Manages the timeliness of daily responses from the facility department to daily workorders, prioritizing issues impacting students, to ensure requests or communication updates are completed within 24 hours.

Required Qualifications Education/Licensure
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or facility/construction management;
Master's degree preferred.
Experience
7-10 years of progressive experience in construction and project management;
7-10 years of facility management, including but not limited to: maintenance, custodial, grounds.
Experience working directly with building contractors, material specifications and federal/state and local governments for permitting, as required by the project preferred;
Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of standards for higher education in custodial and maintenance services;
Knowledge of CAD systems helpful;
Knowledge of CMMS, building automation, access systems
