Overview
PPPL invites applications for the position of SLI Project Field Supervisor in support of the Laboratory's SLI infrastructure projects. This position reports to the SLI Project Group Lead.
The Science Laboratory Infrastructure (SLI) Project Field Supervisor coordinates the activities of outside contractors performing work on SLI Projects ($20M). Working with the Project Manager/Deputy Project Manager for the SLI project, he/she will provide the oversight and supervision necessary, ensure training is scheduled, site access notification is completed, and initial conditions are met for the contractor to access the site and perform work. Generate and maintain construction records for each project. During construction, he/she is responsible for ensuring all safety requirements are observed and works with the Project Manager/Deputy Project Manager to minimize disruption to business operations from construction activities.

Responsibilities
Core Duties:
Coordinate and support subcontractor construction activities, including PPPL required training, PPPL permits, equipment mobilization documentation, site access, safety documentation, quality assurance/control, construction impact communication, daily/weekly planning and reporting (90%).
Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager/Deputy Project Manager (10%).
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High School Education or Equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Valid New Jersey Driver's License.
Ten years of experience in construction project execution, coordination and craft skills.
Five years of experience in operating heavy equipment.
Has knowledge of, supports, and consistently applies the Laboratory's Integrated Safety Management (ISM) program and all ESH requirements. Encourages others to be safety conscious and observe safety rules including use of safety equipment. Reviews work for environmental impact. Complies with ESH Directives, DOE Orders and OSHA standards. Attends required training.
Proficient and certified in using Procore.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in confined spaces, from elevated platforms, as well as scaffolding and ladders in awkward positions and locations.
Ability to lift fifty pounds.
Working Conditions:
Indoors and outdoors, predominantly day shift with occasional off-hours (evening, weekends) to accommodate specific projects or operational needs.
